The Freedman residents located on Telegraph Hill in San Francisco has a spectacular view of the Bay Bridge, Treasure Island and Oakland.
The view of the city lights at night are some of San Francisco has to offer. Lighting in this space was over powering and blocked the view with window glare and light pollution.
Leaving the view outside instead of bringing it in to the space. Were asked to design a lighting plan which captured the city lights at night yet
allowed them to functionality use the space.

The fixtures were selected to add aesthetics, add functionality and reduce light pollution. MR16 light fixtures kept
the light focused to furniture and art objects. Light was directed away from the walls allowing a natural type of indirect light.
The Master bedroom lighting focuses on the sky light trusses, warming the room with the rich color of yellow oaker.
The lighting in the living room was designed to focus light to areas of activity and artworks.
Leaving the room with a low ambient light level which allowed the city lights to be drawn into the space.
Before the dinning room, like other parts of the room was bombarded with light washing on the walls.
We chose to light the dinning room table, the center piece and highlight art objects.
